Who we are
This website is operated by Abenengo for Development (ABEDEV), a community-based organisation registered in Kenya and based at Sirindiro House, Funyula Town, Busia County.
What we collect
We only collect information you choose to give us. That means:
- The name, email address, phone number, area of interest and message you submit through our contact, volunteer or partnership forms.
- The email address you submit if you ask for event alerts.
- Basic, aggregated website usage information if analytics are enabled on the live site. This site does not set advertising cookies.
Why we use it
We use your details to reply to your message, process a volunteer or partnership enquiry, or send the event alerts you asked for. We do not sell your information, and we do not add you to unrelated mailing lists.
How it is stored
Form submissions are delivered by email through Web3Forms, a form-delivery service, to the ABEDEV inbox. Event alert addresses are kept in the account used to send those alerts. Access is limited to the ABEDEV team members who need it.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept for up to two years so we can follow up on relationships and reporting. Event alert addresses are kept until you ask to be removed.
Your choices
You can ask us to show you the information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. You can unsubscribe from event alerts at any time. Write to info@abenengo.org and we will respond within a reasonable period.
Third-party services
This site loads fonts from Google Fonts and, where a video is embedded, links to YouTube. Those services have their own privacy policies. Videos hosted on this site are served from our own server and use preload="none" so they do not download until you press play.

If this notice changes, the updated version will appear on this page. This version was published in October 2026.
