Our Accomplishments

We have since built a reputation for being the voice of the powerless in society. Among the many activities we have accomplished on behalf of the powerless in society include:

• Carried out voter sensitization civic education forums in Funyula Constituency in the run-up to the 2022 General elections.

• Facilitated a candidates-facing-voters’ debate in Namboboto/Nambuku (NANA) ward to interrogate aspirants’ manifestos and to gauge their understanding of their roles if elected as MCA.

• Continuously facilitates citizen-led oversight of leadership and development initiatives by the County and National Government in across Busia County, with a specific focus on Samia sub-county.

• Organized a Busia County CSOs meeting which provided a platform for CSOs and the Senator to exchange views and perspectives on their priorities to oversight the county government.

• An active member of Busia CSO network comprising of 12 active CSOs tasked with a mandate of coordinating CSOs activities as well as holding the county government accountable on use of public funds. Latest statement on accountability was released on 6 December 2023.

• Continues in mobilising Busia County residents to actively participate in the County’s budget calendar activities by attending public participation forums to make their contributions.
